Wood Talent Grant
The William and Dorothy Jane Wood Talent Grant is an incredible opportunity for UAF students with a passion and potential for excellence in the fine arts. Established by former UAF President William R. Wood and his wife Dorothy Jane, this grant has supported talented students in the Music, Art, and Theatre & Film departments for many years. Funded through the Crossroads fashion show, the Wood Talent Grant is a vital source of support for students dedicated to developing their artistic skills.
This grant is designed to recruit and retain students who exhibit exceptional potential in their field and encourage them to further hone their talents while attending UAF.
Students must submit an application form, an essay, a letter of recommendation, and a portfolio or performance sample to be considered. Continuing students must re-apply for consideration each year.
All applications must be submitted by March 1st.
Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students at UAF Must be majoring in Music, Art, or Theatre & Film Minimum 2.5 GPA Must demonstrate potential for excellence in the fine arts.
One or more awards of $1,000 or more will be given, at the discretion of the selection committee.
Award recipients will forfeit the grant if they do not enroll in the semester for which the award is given or if placed on academic probation.
