Location: Moore, Bartlett and Skarland Complex
Your one-stop shop to grab your room key, pick up your PolarExpress card and move into the residence halls.

Information Station

Location: Hess Recreation Center
If you’re lost or have a question, stop by the information station for help.

11 a.m.—5 p.m. Alaska time
Orientation Check-In

Location: Wood Center Mall
Stop by the Orientation Check-In table to receive your nametag, bag and free t-shirt. Students and guests will both check in at this location.

Campus Tours

Location: Moore, Bartlett and Skarland Complex
Tours will depart every hour, on the hour, from outside of the Moore, Bartlett and Skarland Complex. The final tour will depart at 4 p.m.

5:30—7:30 p.m. Alaska time
Dinner

Location: Wood Center, Dine 49
Grab a bite to eat. Make sure you have your meal ticket handy to cover the cost of your meal.

7—9:30 p.m. Alaska time
Parent and Family Social

Location: Wood Center, Pub
Unwind in a casual environment with the administrators, staff and faculty who will teach and support your student. Enjoy free light refreshments — beer and wine are available for purchase. Must be 21+ to enter.

8:30—10:15 a.m. Alaska time

Orientation Kickoff

Location: Fine Arts Complex, Davis Concert Hall
Your student's UAF journey begins at Orientation Kickoff, where they'll hear from university leadership, be welcomed by their academic college and connect with their orientation group. This is your student's first step into campus life — don't miss it!

Partnering for Student Success

Location: Wood Center Ballroom
Learn ways to partner with the university to ensure your student's success. Hear from the Office of Financial Aid, the Office of the Registrar, Nanook Advising and Rural Student Services.

UAF takes your student's safety seriously. Find out how we support your student's physical and mental health and safety during their time on campus. Hear from the UAF Police Department; the Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability (ORCA); the Student Health and Counseling Center; and Disability Services.

Location: Constitution Park
Mix and mingle with other students and their families at the Welcome BBQ, sponsored by the Honors College.
